Pre existing stereotypes people use to judge a situation “Frames trump facts” The media uses these frames and it can cause them to misjudge a situation

These two pictures were both taken during Hurricane Katrina Both are doing nearly the same thing News stories describing their actions did not reflect that Preexisting racial frames can cause people to jump to conclusions

Media Television ,social media, and online new sources are the major media outlets of today Millions of people can see news stories in just minutes Facts easily get twisted causing false claims to be made fairly often

Conclusion Giving an accurate depiction of a situation within minutes of it happening can be hard People must keep there minds open when interpreting a situation
