4. School day begins at 7:50 a.m.
Students arriving after this time MUST have a tardy pass.
After the first week of school, students should be walking independently to class. You may drop them off at the front lobby.
Dismissal at 2:10 p.m.
No check-outs or transportation changes are accepted after 1:45 p.m.
Please make sure that any transportation changes are sent to the office. We will not accept s due to safety. Please
fill out your child’s transportation daily in your child’s folder.
Car riders must be picked up by 2:30 p.m.

You may bring in a treat during lunch time, and pass it out to the class. First grade teachers do not eat lunch with the class, so I will not be there to pass it out.

10. We are limited to two field trips per year.
Be sure to check your child’s folder and class blog in the coming months for more information.
First field trip is in October, so be on the lookout for permission forms at the beginning of September. We are going to Sleepy Hollow Farm.

Monthly homework packets are due at the end of the month. New homework packets will go home the first day of the new month.
Please make sure you are reading 20 minutes each night with your child. 10 of those minutes you can read to your child. This is our school wide initiative.

28. EIP information
This year we are fortunate to be able to continue a state program called the Early Intervention Program (EIP) in kindergarten through fifth grade. Participation in EIP allows students to receive additional direct instruction in reading and/or math.
Children start school at a designated chronological age, but differ greatly in their individual development and experience base. The Early Intervention Program (EIP) is designed to serve students who are at risk of not reaching or maintaining academic grade level. The purpose of the Early Intervention Program is to provide additional instructional resources to help students who are performing below grade level obtain the necessary academic skills to reach grade level performance in the shortest possible time.
 The Early Intervention Program Placement and Exit Criteria are based on documented student performance in ELA/reading and mathematics.
