3. Entering School
If you
Ride the bus or walk, you will come in the front door of the school.
Are a car-rider, you will come in the back door by the cafeteria.
How are you getting home today?

4. If You Arrive
Before 7:25, you must go straight to breakfast or wait in the gym until the teacher on duty dismisses you.
After 7:25, you may go to homeroom.

5. Breakfast Breakfast is served between 7:00 and 7:25.
If you plan to eat breakfast, go directly to the cafeteria with all of your stuff when you get here.
When you finish, go directly to the gym.
If students have been dismissed from the gym, go directly to homeroom.

Make sure homework and assignments are complete
Study for quizzes or tests
Read! Read! Read! Read! Read! Read!

8. Lockers
Your teachers will send you to your locker three times each day.
From homeroom
After 2nd Period
At the end of 6th Period
If you need to go to your locker at any other time, you MUST get your teacher to sign a pass.

9. To Open a Locker Start at 0. Turn the dial right to the first number.
Turn the dial left past the second number and around to the second number
Turn the dial right to the third number
Push the lever in and lift up.

10. Homeroom Locker Break
Your Homeroom teacher will send you to your locker from Homeroom.
Get everything you need for Achievement, 1st, and 2nd periods:
Planner, pencils, books, notebooks, assignments, etc. Don’t forget your snack!!!
Leave bookbags, string bags, purses and any other type of bag in your locker!!!
Go to Achievement Period after lockers

11. Homeroom At 7:30, a bell will signal the start of Homeroom
During Homeroom, you will
Stand and pledge allegiance to the flag
Listen carefully to announcements
Quietly observe a moment of silence
At 7:35, a bell will signal the start of locker break and Achievement Period

13. Absent or Tardy
If you arrive at school after 7:30, you must go the office and sign in before going to your classroom.
The office will give you a pass to go to class.
When you are absent or tardy, YOU are responsible for work you missed.

Wait quietly in the hallway for your next teacher to admit you to class
Inappropriate hallway behavior will not be tolerated.

20. Expectation Violations

Third Detention results in automatic ISS (In School Suspension)

21. Hall Passes
Except during locker breaks, you must sign the clipboard and have a pass from your teacher to go to:
The bathroom
The water fountain
Your locker
Other classrooms
Anywhere in the school

22. Food/Drink in Class Students may
Have a water bottle in class with clear water only;
BOTTLE MUST BE CLEAR so we can see what is in it
NO coffee or “ to-go” cups!
Have a healthy snack at the beginning of 2nd Period ONLY. If you forget your snack, you CANNOT go back to your locker to get it!

23. Food/Drink in Class Students may NOT have anything besides
clear water in class
NOT have a bottle that is opaque (not able to see-through)
NOT have big snack bags
NOT have soda, even at lunch
NOT have sunflower seeds
Any violation of these rules will result in your snack/drink being thrown away

24. A NOTE ABOUT TECHNOLOGY IN THE CLASSROOM
All devices should be OUT OF SIGHT and silenced or turned off unless directed by a teacher.
Teachers know
when you are texting.
Seriously, nobody just looks
at their crotch smiling.

25. A NOTE ABOUT TOYS IN THE CLASSROOM
Absolutely NO TOYS are allowed in the classroom. This includes FIDGET SPINNERS. If we see it, we take it and your parents can come pick it up.

26. Mid-morning Locker Break
After 2nd Period, you have a locker break to
Swap books
Go to the bathroom
Get water
Get everything you need for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th periods.
Don’t forget your lunch!
Take everything to your 5th period class and place these items on your desk.
Then take with you what you need for 3rd and 4th periods.

27. Lunch You will Pay lunch money in the cafeteria before Homeroom
Need to know your student number to pay for lunch. (WHAT IS YOUR #?)
Go through the lunch line ONCE, so get EVERYTHING you need: milk, fork, napkin, etc.
There are no microwaves for student usage.

28. Lunchroom Rules
Once you have gone through the lunch line, you may NOT enter the line again. Be sure to get everything that you need: fork, napkin, milk, etc. If you forget something, raise your hand and a teacher will help you. 
Once you have taken a seat at your lunch table, stay seated and do not get up again. No standing!
Do not touch others’ food. Keep your hands to yourself.
Drinks from the vending machine must be purchased at the beginning of the lunch period. You may NOT bring colored drinks/juice into class from lunchroom.
Carbonated drinks are NOT allowed!
Do not touch anything on the teacher cart.

29. Lunchroom Rules
Talk to classmates at your table only – no turning around in your seat. No socializing with students in other classes; FACE FORWARD.
Use quiet voices in the lunchroom. If we hear you, you are too loud and will be moved to the silent lunch table. If you see the “paw” you must become silent.
Clean up your area. If you drop trash on the floor, pick it up. If you spill something, clean it up. Raise your hand if you have any issues and a teacher will help.
No cell phones allowed in the lunchroom.
Do not remove any food or drinks from the lunchroom.

30. Afternoon Locker Break
Your 6th period teacher will send you to your locker to get everything you need to take home.

31. Dismissal The office dismisses students by grade
Bus-riders exit out the side of the building by the baseball field. Make sure you know your BUS NUMBER!
Walkers exit on the gym/football side
Car-riders exit in back
Students are NOT allowed to go to the high school without an adult! So, if you miss the bus, tell the nearest adult so we can get you across the street and onto your bus.

32. Fun Friday On Fridays, Achievement Period will be set aside for either
Fun Friday: Free time for
Outside/Technology Room
Games/Gym/Technology Room
Study Hall: Make up missing work
Detention: Detention for 3 or more silent lunches during the week
