7 Film Posters and DVD Covers
You cannot use the specific terms that are associated with newspapers/magazines to describe film posters and DVD covers, but you still need to analyse their visual codes, layout & design and written codes in detail. There are also other terms and ideas that can help you to analyse these type of texts.

Study the front covers for XXL and Asian Woman magazines (colour copies on Moodle) Analyse the front covers for both XXL and Asian Woman commenting on: visual codes layout and design language and mode of address. Make notes on the handout provided. Give out cover sheets and b & w copies of the magazine covers (past paper) Colour copies to be accessible on Moodle
