4 Special Feature Report: Let’s BE HEALTHY AND SAFE!
Do you know our P.S 329 nurse? Her name is Ms. Jones. Everyday she faces a lot of kids that have problems. Here is how you solve it! You can drink healthy drinks, like water, fruit smoothies, or shakes made out of vegetables. Also, here are some injuries that the nurse has to deal with! Oh, and also Ms. Jones makes sure we are not really sick by checking us out all the time if we need something. Sometimes we need more help. Well, some injuries are head injuries or bruises on the arms and legs from pushing, shoving and hitting. This should not happen in school because we are here to learn. Ms. Jones also takes care of nosebleeds from being overheated from clothes or change of weather. Finally, Ms. Jones warns us from not eating breakfast or bad lunch, like Takis! She keeps us healthy and in order! Xia X

5 Special Report: African Masks
Hello P.S 329Q! I will teach you about African tribe masks. Africans celebrate with masks and dancing! Each color means a different thing. Like, a black mask means maturity and energy. A blue mask means the sky and good luck and a green mask means leaves and growth harvest. African mask are also all about designs. There are many designs you can do. Now, I will teach you how to make a mask: The materials you will need are… 1) scissors 2) paper 3) glue 4) plain plastic mask 5) 1 paint brush 6) paint 7) colored pencils 8) 1 pencil 9) water Step 1- Take your paper and scissors and cut the paper into strips. You will need a lot of STRIPS. Step 2 –Next you put the glue in a container and put the water in it. Step 3 - You take your cut out strips and dip it into the container. Step 4 - Next, you take your plain plastic mask and cover it with the strips of paper. Flattening the strips is very important. Step 5 - Let it dry until it is hard. Step 6 – Make the designs you wanted on the dried mask. Step 8 – Paint it! Make sure the whole mask is covered with paint. Step 9 –Let it dry. Now you have a beautiful African mask! By: Joshua

Community  Hey guys! There are lots of people getting Student of the Month for Community in our school. It means that everyone is family and everybody gets respected and gets treated how they wanted to be treated. We have to know that the third graders are an example for the second graders, and the first graders are an example to the Kindergartens. So, community means we are all a big family at P.S 329!

All of the students are heading off for Spring Break. Where is a dream place you would like to travel to? Well, Jayson has the scoop on China and it is also a country we studied in 3rd grade this year! Have a great vacation.
