Agenda items included reports on the PE grant, pupil premium grant, committee reports, nominated governor reports, the Head teacher’s report and school improvement priorities, finance update, governor training and development, and other general updates. Mr Matthew Parkinson stood down as Chair of the Resource Committee and Mrs Val Richards was elected as new Chair. The Governing Body thanked Matthew for all his hard work as Chair. Anna Shone, Chair of Governors PARKING NEAR SCHOOL Governors would like to support the message with regards to parking outside school, and are pleased to confirm that both Caton St Paul's Church and Brookhouse Methodist Church are happy for parents/carers to use their car park at drop-off and pick-up times. We would like to encourage car users to avoid parking on Littledale Road, below the Moorside Road junction, to allow children free view when crossing at the little bridge. Cars parked below this point force children to cross the road between cars, which goes against what we teach them for road safety. Thank you for your support with this. LUNCH MENUS TAG RUGBY SUCCESS New LCC menus have been sent out this week. Please note these are subject to change of day and occasionally change of meal due to orders/availability. A huge congratulations to our Year 5 Tag Rugby team who played their socks off in the Lune Valley competition last week. They won their group round to go through to the final against Hornby. The final was a close fought match resulting in a runners up place for St Paul’s. Well done to all children, your performance on and off the pitch was amazing. Tag team:- Sam H, Levi, Ronan, Abby, Ilaria, Jack G, Alfie, Jack B, Matthew, Ben T. PARENT/STAFF MEETINGS Thank you to all families for attending meetings this last week.
