Syntax is the way a sentence is arranged so that it makes sense; it’s basically the word order.
A sentence must be arranged in a way that makes sense so that the reader understands the message. Syntax

Pronouns and Antecedents
Pronouns must always have clear antecedents. Pronoun- a word that replaces a noun (he, it, those) Antecedent- a word the pronoun replaces (Bob, the cake, the cars) Sometimes, when we struggle to understand a text, finding the antecedent can help us determine the topic. Capitalization Things that are capitalized Proper nouns (names)
Examples: Ms. Brady, Six Flags Non-examples: a doctor, spring (seasons are never capitalized) Titles of People Examples: Principal Stewart, President Obama Non-examples the president, the principal Major Words in Titles of Texts Examples: The Great Gatsby, Invisible Man Capitalization

Days of the week, months, holidays Examples: Friday, April, Christmas The first word of a quote when it is a complete sentence Example: He said, “I wish I had some chips.” Non-example: He said the book was “quite interesting.” Capitalization

When writing a sentence, be sure that your verb is conjugated correctly.
If the subject is singular, use a singular verb If the subject is plural, use a plural verb Agreement

Example 1 (label the subject, verb, and number): When Bob and I talk, we talk fast.

Be sure your verb is conjugated correctly for the past, present, or future.
For example, if the sentences are about the future, use future tense. Agreement
