My name is Grace. I am 12 years old. I play sports such as, soccer and basketball. In my free time I like to play with my dog Veronica. I take animals to the Columbiana county fair. I have one sibling. I have 9 pets as of now, 2 dogs,1 cat, and 6 cows. I spend a lot of time at my best friend, Lindi’s house. This is my dog Veronica (Roni)

11. Look at me as a reader
One of my reading habits are reading outside. I love reading outside, it gives you that summery feel, and for me it helps me connect with the characters and picture it happening. Some of my favorite genres are science fiction, mystery, and fantasy. I love science fiction. It is my favorite genre. I love it because it’s set In the future, so anything could happen. I especially love Veronica Roth’s Divergent series. Those are my absolute favorite books.

12. Look at me as a writer
One of my writing habits would have to be making my own thing up. I hate when the teacher gives us a topic and we have to write about it. That is like the most boring thing ever. Some of my favorite types of writing are fantasy. I like when authors write about things that “Aren’t real.” I like this because it amusing to me that they think what they are writing about could never happen. Anything is possible if you can believe it is.

14. Lit. Circle slides
White Fang- This was a good book, yet I don’t think I would recommend it. It was really good at the beginning with cliffhangers and a great storyline yet it kind of died off at the end. I did enjoy the part when the “she-wolf” took over the pack I thought that was amusing.
Connect the stars- I absolutely loved this book. I would definitely recommend it. There was a great storyline. I liked the when Audrey finally stuck to Daphne. Again I loved this book.
We Fought Back- Like this first book, it had a pretty good storyline, yet I would not recommend it. I did like the part when they killed the farmer to get his supplies.
Tracker- I did really enjoyed this book. I really enjoyed this book especially because I have personal connections to it. This book is kind of deep thought, so you really have to pay attention to what it’s really trying to say. But I would recommend this book.
Lawn Boy- I have not actually finished this book. So far it’s okay but could be better. I don’t’ think I would recommend this book. I do really wish that I had all that money though!

16. On my Honor
I would recommend this books to others because it has a great storyline, and has a good moral.
A short summarization of On my Honor is this, The main characters name is Joel. His best friends name is tony. Tony is kind of a trouble maker and wants to go behind Joel’s dads back and swim in the Vermillion River. Because of this Joel and Tony get into an argument. So to settle the argument they race to the sandbar in the Vermillion River. Joel is in the lead and he turns around to see where tony is, and he is not there. Joel looks everywhere for him and cannot find him. Did he drown , or is he playing a joke on him? I guess you’ll have to read the book to find out.

17. The Cay
I would very much recommend this book to others because a great book to read.
A short summarization of this book is this, the main character is Phillip. Phillip and his mother try to escape where they live by taking a boat, this is because it is getting bombed. But their ship gets torpedoed. Phillip and his mother get separated. Phillip ends up on this life boat, with a black man named Timothy. Phillip is not very found of him. They are on this boat for a few days and Phillip and Timothy finally get along. There is a complication though, Phillip goes blind. Timothy thinks it is because he looked at the sun too long. After a few days on the boat the find and island. They go to the island and set up camp. Ever since they got to this island Timothy has been preparing Phillip to live on his own. They have seen planes and they tried to set off flares, but it didn’t work. After a few weeks on the island there is a huge storm. A hurricane. Throughout this hurricane, Timothy covers Phillip to protect him. When it is over Timothy is very weak, and dies. Phillip now understands why Timothy was preparing him to live on his own. Does Phillip get rescued? Does he die off too? I don’t know you will have to read the book to find out.

18. Island of the Blue Dolphins
I would very much recommend this book to others I really enjoyed the part in the book when Rontu became hers. Rontu her dog reminds me of my dog Veronica. Again I strongly recommend this book to others the movie doesn’t even touch what the book says.

19. Tuck Everlasting Again I strongly recommend this book.
The whole story line Is amazing and creative.
I think it’s funny when whinny says “If only that toad could see me now.”
Since we have not finished the book, I predict that the man in the yellow suit will drink from the spring and live forever.

21. The year in review
So far this year has been great. There are plenty of “ups” like not having to get my planner signed. But there are also some “downs.” Not a lot of downs but some! I really liked when we learned about ancient Egypt. I also really enjoyed the science experiments. I do feel prepared for next year. I hope the rest of the year can be as great as it has been so far!
