2 1 Peter 1:3-4 “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable and undefiled and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,…”

We are no longer “ignorant.”

“work” / “conduct” = The “actions/attitudes” that result from being “sober” or not. Are you doing “evil” or not? Are you expressing “holiness?”

11 “fear” = Awe, Respect

12 “It is a terrifying thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”

14 Former way of life was “slavery.”
“redeemed” = Related to buying a slave’s freedom. What slave would want to go back to being a slave? Former way of life was “slavery.” What Father who has redeemed their son would not do what was necessary to keep him from returning to it.
