1 Music in stress out - Spain
Without music life would be a tragedy. The presentation is made by Darina Stefanova XIa class

2 The beginning of the big adventure 26. 11. 2012
They say “You don’t know what your limits are until you’re pushed to them” I say that when you fly there are no limits. I like to travel. Through the years I found myself in the dusty trains and hurried buses. Now I’m going to the place I’ve only dreamed of – Spain. Now I find myself in a dream flight from Bulgaria to Spain. Spain is a country with a rich culture and it’s a dream destination for every traveller. I’ve got only 9 days to know everything about the country. Spain, wait for me.

3 This is Barcelona from the plane.

4 The first step into the unknown is always the hardest one.
Plane. Airport. I lot of smiling faces. Excitement. Fear. It’s our first meeting with our Catalan friends. It is amazing how two cultures collide and meet each other. But it’s not that scary because we are all people, just talking different languages. Some say that the first step is always the hardest – they are wrong. The warm and friendly hugs always mean that everything will be okay.

5 Time for meeting the others and seeing some presentations.
It’s our first day in Spain after the arrival. My family is great. Carla is one of those people you love from the first sight. After we got ready we went to Carla’s school. It was a little strange to be in a school bigger than yours where kids from different nationalities study together. In the morning there was an opening speech of the headmaster of the school and a short performance on Pau Casals by students. It was fun and everyone was friendly. After a little break we watched a presentation about Spain which was prepared to introduce the school and the country. We also presented our country and school. We also went on a little tour around the school with some kids from the school show. There is a church and a big playground. It is amazing.

12 In the morning we watched presentations of Spanish and Catalan music instruments. Some of their instruments are same as ours. In the afternoon we went to Barcelona to visit Sagrada Famillia. Now when the sun is shining I can see what a beautiful place Barcelona is. It’s one of the most magnificent cities in the world. So many people, so many hearts beating as one, so many ideas in one place. Sagrada Famillia is a huge, old and unique building with rich history visited annually by so many people. Beauty and grace!!!

16 Finally it’s our third day in Spain. We’ve learnt a lot, we saw a lot but it’s never enough – there is so much more to see and do. In the morning we introduced our countries – we showed a presentation about Bulgaria, Sliven and of course our school and I think they liked it. After the break we went to a Flamenco and Catalan workshop. It was very interesting – they taught us how to dance and play their dances and instruments. We went to the beach and watched the sunset – it was amazing. We were all of us – German, Polish, Turkish and Bulgarian students. We had dinner in Castelldefels. We ate traditional food.

20 Well, we are in the end… It’s almost the end and I don’t want to leave this place and people. In the morning we discussed the project, gave ideas and shared our wishes and desires about the visit. We also discussed the project’s activities and dates of the next meetings. We also took a little trip around the town and went to the local government. We also went to the kindergarten where we met a lot of little kids and they were screaming, playing and singing and it was such a funny thing to do. In the afternoon we attended a farewell concert where we said goodbye to our friends. I almost cried.

25 What else we did in these 9 days?
We went to Barcelona for one whole day. We visited these little streets where all of the history is hidden. We played football with the Polish kids in the kindergarten and our team won. We had a lot of fun with our families. We found new friends – they are friends for the whole lifetime. We travelled a lot. Some of us haven’t slept for almost 24 hours just to see everything.
