3 Beaker A special glass jar used to hold liquids.

4 Graduated Cylinder A glass or plastic tube with a base and numbered marks on its side that is used to measure liquids precisely. You read a graduated cylinder at the meniscus

5 Test Tube Slender glass tube used to hold chemicals during reactions.

6 Bunsen Burner This tool burns gas and is used for heating materials.

7 Petri Dish A small, flat, clear dish used to grow mold or bacteria.

8 Microscope Slide A small piece of glass which holds samples for viewing under a microscope.

9 This tool is used to dispense small drops of liquids.
Dropper This tool is used to dispense small drops of liquids.

10 A tool used to measure mass in grams.
Triple Beam Balance A tool used to measure mass in grams.

11 A hand-held lens which makes objects look larger.
Magnifying Glass A hand-held lens which makes objects look larger.

12 Ruler A tool used for making linear measurements in mm and cm.

13 Microscope A scientific tool used for examining objects too small to be seen with the naked eye.
