Present status Determine which areas are missing from what you have heard, and select top 4 talks you’d like to hear at PPPL, including invited and contributed talks Work within your subpanel before PPPL meeting to consolidate the talks and white papers into TEC elements – target 3-6 total TEC elements from each sub-panel, including elements that may not qualify as “most promising” TEC We’ll target 5-10 “most promising” TEC elements in the final write-up Evaluate the TEC elements above as a subpanel, using the Lumsdaine rubric as a tool, and prepare to present your subpanel’s position on which ones are/are not TEC to the entire panel at the PPPL workshop, 7/19-21 Finalize your sub-panel’s position during parallel sessions on Thu. PM

Panel-wide deliberations on TEC elements – Friday
Allain and Greenfield finish presenting their panel findings on Friday by 2 PM (about 3 hours each) Tentatively starting at 8 AM, but may move back to 8:30 Working lunch delivered to Director’s Conference Room at noon Discussion of TEC elements with variability of opinion from 2-3:30 Writing assignments from 3:30-4:30 During the writing period, authors need to take into account Evaluate whether the community input obtained at PPPL meeting contributes to an existing TEC element or a new one No new TEC elements considered after 7/21/17, but subpanels can have telecons obtaining additional community input for 3 weeks, until 8/11/17 – need to decide if this is really needed Identify cross-cuts and synergies between TEC elements from all 3 subpanels Assess which TEC elements advance both stellarators and tokamaks Assess international activity and potential US leadership areas as requested in charge
