Northern Securities (Railroad Company Trust) -violated Sherman Anti-Trust Act -Supreme Court ruled to break them up -Roosevelt earns the name “Trustbuster” Department of Commerce and Labor- Cabinet department created by Roosevelt to investigate corporations

7 Anthracite Coal Strike
Coal Strike ends when Roosevelt threatens to use Army to take control of business Roosevelt sides with workers Workers got %10 pay raise and shorter hours

Create a colored brochure on your groups national park National Park Choices: Great Smoky Mountains, Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain, Glacier, Acadia, Arches, Zion, Crater Lake Pane 1: Cover Page, title, illustration of park Pane 2: name of park, location, map (draw an outline of the U.S. and show where the park is) Pane 3: Date Created, Why was it created? Who was president when the park was created? Pane 4: Geographical features, draw an illustration of one Pane 5: Plants and animals in the park Pane 6: Park Attendance numbers (how many visit a year), how do you get to the park (airport nearby?), how much does it cost to go? When is it open/closed?
