18 Graduation Rate

19 Next Steps: Supporting Transition Students
Our first initiatives have focused on entering students and graduation. What can we do to continue supporting the students in the middle that are transitioning to complete their bachelor degree (and beyond)?

20 Transition Rate

21 Transition to Clifton Retention
UCBA Students Transitioning to Clifton Transitioning Cohort # Students Retained Retention % Avg. GPA of retained Fall 2012 570 430 75 2.996 Fall 2013 558 416 3.122 Fall 2014 614 434 71 3.1 Fall 2015 767 N/A Fall 2016 854

22 Transition Student Summary
Overall, the number of students transitioning to Clifton campus is increasing each year The most common Clifton academic areas for students to transition to in each cohort include Psychology, Criminal Justice, Communication, Biological Sciences, and RN/BSN programs Students are more likely to be retained in their first year on Clifton campus if they did not graduate from Clermont or Blue Ash campuses than if they did graduate from those campuses The average first-year GPA is higher on the Clifton campus if they graduated from Clermont or Blue Ash campus before transitioning to Clifton The majority of students who transition to Clifton campus have enough credit hours to have junior or senior class rank Of the students who transition to Clifton campus, 15.6% graduate in less than one year When looking at the average graduation rate for the cohorts, the graduation rate for Full-Time Baccalaureate-Seeking Transition students is higher (80.3%) than the graduation for First-Time Full-Time Baccalaureate-Seeking students (64.6%) Students who transition as First-Years have a lower graduation rate (56.0%) than First-Time Full-Time Baccalaureate-Seeking students (64.6%) The majority of transition students finish their Baccalaureate Degree in two years Adapted from UC Institutional Research parison/SummaryofPoints?:iid=5
