2. Background info founded on November 24, 1954.
HSUS in an organization that helps protect animals and prevent animal abuse.
Has background information on animals of all kinds on care treatments and any informational charities.
Said to have help and provided care for over 100,000 animals.
They are “the nation's largest animal protection organization”.

3. Interests in this organization
The reason why i chose this organization is because they are an organization well known around the U.S.. Their main goal is to help protect animals and to watch over for animal cruelty. this organization has a history of undercover spying companies that own animals, watching to see if they are taking care. HSUS also confronts any animal abusing activities to stop them.

4. Purpose
why i think people should engage charitably is because by this you helping other people's lives. With that it'll make you possibly feel better about yourself and by engaging it could make your life better too. with this organization it's helping the animals around the nation. by helping these animals you can take care of the environment.

5. Plan of action
my plan to get involved is to try to donate to charities that were mentioned in their websites and to promote awareness of animals abuse. i expect not having enough money or time to physically help. the organization also helps educate people on adopting over buying dogs and i would like to promote that.

6. Long term plan of action
my long term plans for working with this organization is to do technically do what i said before. i want to continue to support the work of theirs. i want to continue to help them express to people about how much safer it is to adopt animals from shelters and knowing where the animals come from

7. Social engagement
other ways i could engage in society charitably is by donating, which i do, but i will make sure i continue. i can also engage by supporting companies and other organizations in their civil rights actions.

8. Reflection
while doing this assignment i felt more engaged in social issues. this somewhat has made me want to look more into other charities and organizations. Issues I could have with doing this is a possibility of getting scammed.
