DEFINITIONS TO PREVENT ANGER FROM ERUPTING INTO VIOLENCE, USE THE FOLLOWING STRATEGIES: 1. TAKE A BREAK. 2. FOCUS ON CALMING YOURSELF. 3. RELEASE YOUR ANGER IN A SAFE WAY. 4. EXERCISE. 5. BE CREATIVE. TO LOWER YOUR RISK OF BECOMING A VICTIM OF VIOLENCE, DO THE FOLLOWING THINGS: 1. PAY ATTENTION TO SIGNS THAT VIOLENCE MIGHT OCCUR. 2. WALK AWAY FROM OUT-OF-CONTROL CONFLICTS. 3. TAKE ALL THREATS SERIOUSLY. 4. AVOID PEOPLE WHO CARRY WEAPONS. 5. AVOID PEOPLE WHO TAKE DRUGS.
