Here we go into a deeper study.

The journey begins when we are conceived and born into this world, in time we make it to this first arrow – Click for next slide.

13 Ecclesiastes 12:7 (Webster)
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. Genesis 2:7 (Webster) This first arrow reads… Where we go when our soul is separated from our body at death; Paradise or Torment. Someone look up Genesis 2:7 & Ecclesiastes 12:7 (compare the version they are reading to the Webster version) Click Genesis 2:7 Click Ecclesiastes 12:7 These scriptures tell us that our body was formed of dust then we became a living soul when God breathed that eternal soul into us. In Ecclesiastes we see that our body returns to dust and that spirit breathed into us returns to the One who gave it to us. Where we go, is throughout scripture, I would like to show some hints of where we go through the eyes of those who have left this world. Click Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7 (Webster)

What blood! I know not where I am. How will all this end? What shall I do? I am lost forever! I know it. Oh, I have done wrong.” Charles IX Charles IX ( ) was king of France during the religious war between the Catholics and the Protestant Huguenots many called him a bloody tyrant for the amount of deaths he caused. 20 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, while we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 (Webster) Someone look up 2 Corinthians 5:6-8 Click This scripture shows us that while we are here in our body that we are absent from the Lord- we do have the indwelling of the Spirit, prayer and fellowship through His word. But Paul here was saying it would be much better to be absent from this body and in the presence of the Lord.

21 Luke 16:19-23 verse 22: Kolpos (kol'-pos) or Abraham’s Bosom: this is only found here in scripture but was used in the Talmud as a figure for heaven. In Greek Kolpos is the bosom of a garment, i.e. the hollow formed by the upper forepart of a rather loose garment bound by a girdle or sash, used for keeping and carrying things (the fold or pocket) On to the next part- let’s read Luke 16:19-23 Click Kolpos or Abraham’s Bosom

22 Luke 16:19-23 verse 23: Basanos (bas'-an-os) or torment is the pains of a disease of those in hell after death Basanos or torment

23 Sh@'owl (sheh-ole'); sheol, underworld, grave, hell, pit
the underworld Sheol - the OT designation for the abode of the dead place of no return without praise of God wicked sent there for punishment righteous not abandoned to it of the place of exile (fig) of extreme degradation in sin Let’s talk about the name Hell in the Bible. First let’s look to what is used in the Old Testament, the word for Hell in Hebrew. Click

24 Orcus, the nether world, the realm of the dead
Hades (hah'-dace); Word Origin: Greek, Noun Location from (1) (as negative particle) and (1492) name Hades or Pluto, the god of the lower regions Orcus, the nether world, the realm of the dead later use of this word: the grave, death, hell Looking to the New Testament we see the word for Hell in Greek, referred to as Hades. So whether you hear Sheol or Hades they both are referred to as Hell in Scripture and mean the abode of the dead… this is a place where you’re soul is prejudged and goes to either the Place of Torment or Paradise/Abraham’s Bosom. Next time we meet during Knowing Truth we will continue in our journey. Until then… Click

25 Let brotherly love continue.
Hebrews 13:1 (NKJV) Remember our memory verse… not only in memory but in action. KNOWING tRUTH
