It is interesting to discover how words are associated with each other in the native speakers’ eyes.

Abbreviations become very popular when people communicate through text message or on the internet.

Thus, we need to know more about the language like some abbreviations or substitutes, both of which can improve our speed when taking notes.

16. What are the bad points?
The use of abbreviations has become very popular among people.
When they communicate, using abbreviation is very convenient and easy to understand. However, excessive use of abbreviation can also lead to bad habits!
People may be less able to spell correctly if they always use the shortened forms.
Students might use “text speak” when they should be using Standard English, for example in their examination writing.
