4 Listening Tips (1) Eye Contact – respect the speaker and show full attention

5 Listening Tips (2) Be Present in the Moment – practice Paying Close Attention (very close attention)

6 Listening Tips (3) Be non-judgmental – Don’t criticize , interrupt, or jump to conclusions

7 Listening Tips (4) – Don’t offer solutions unless asked –
(a) Evaluation are not always welcome

8 Listening Tips (5) – Put yourself in place of Me’ (The Speaker)–
(a) Understand the speakers feelings {b} Empathize and feel what the speaker is feeling

9 Listening Tips (6) – Give very good evaluations when asked –
(a) Make comments that will help the speaker do better the next speech
