Lessons Learnt/Modifications Equality & Diversity Training Online training – mandatory for all staff Health, Safety and Wellbeing School (HSO) Health & Safety Officer: Jeane Bonner GTA work is now contracted work; RA work is still casual work and separate ‘job’ Contracts are based on GTA workload tariffs– includes prep time, meeting time and teaching time – marking and 3 hour GTA training from L&T are extra

Hours paid evenly over term of contract First pay packet Additional hours – assessments /coverage / GTA training Holiday pay FTE based on Workload tariffs - All ‘extra work’ must be preapproved – course coordinator to me Extras to be paid at next available payroll – one month in arrears Holiday paid at end of contract – includes additional extra hours paid If you work multiple jobs, hours will not be differentiated, payroll will not be able to assist your tracking and monitoring

Core HR – view your payslip - can be confusing if you do other work HMRC and taxes Student loan payments Pension Scheme - 6% Auto enroll – contact pensions department if you wish to unenroll

8 End of Contracts Review/Probation Resignation procedures
Library / / CoreHR Access P45/P60 PDR – not involved Resignation – written notice – we will try to accommodate One month from termination (end of contract) – ejected from the system When all posts with the university are closed P45 leave work, P60 annual work
