1 Brown V. The Board of Education
By: Theo Polk Their goal was to eliminate segregation in public facilities

2 Thurgood Marshall Thurgood Marshall was an American jurist and the first African American to serve on the Supreme Court of the United States. Before becoming a judge, he was a lawyer who was best remembered for his high success rate in arguing before the Supreme Court and for the victory in Brown v. Board of Education. About Fifty years ago the Supreme Court heard final arguments in the landmark desegregation case of Brown v. Board of Education.Thurgood Marshall, who led the fight to dismantle the "separate but equal" doctrine in public education and later went on to become the first African American on the Supreme Court.

3 Linda Brown Linda Brown sued the state of Kansas for being denied admission to a local elementary school because she was black. They used the term “separate is not equal” as their defence. They used the 14th amendment as a protecting statement.

4 Little rock The Little Rock Nine was a group of African-American students who were enrolled in Little Rock Central High School in The ensuing Little Rock Crisis, in which the students were initially prevented from entering the racially segregated school by Arkansas Governor Orval Faubus, and then attended after the intervention of President Eisenhower, is considered to be one of the most important events in the African-American Civil Rights Movement.[1]

5 BROWN II Brown II is stating that they need to speed up the designation ruling. White are hoping for the worst and black are hoping for the best

9 NAACP “There is no easy road ahead. The fight for equal rights enlists the time, the best efforts and the money of every Negro, and all the Negro's friends…maybe the next generation will be able to take time out to rest, but we have too far to go and too much work to do. Shout if you want, but don't shout too soon.”

12 Brown Vs. Board of Education
This is an important event to the civil rights movement because it was a step closer for Black Americans to be equal to the White Americans. Also to be integrated in public places with no restrictions
