4. Fremont Professional Learning Communities
What are PLCs?
Professional Learning Communities are teams of educators who collaborate on a regular basis to improve student outcomes. By analyzing data and sharing research-based classroom practices, teachers will enrich their instruction which will result in improved learning for all students​.

5. Professional Learning Communities (PLC) Focus Areas Year One: 2015-16
Introduced the PLC big ideas to the district: 1) Focus on Learning; 2) Focus on Collaborative Teamwork; 3) Focus on Results
Solution Tree presentations for all schools last year on August 20, 2015 and this year on August 25-26, 2016
Follow-up trainings by Solution Tree associates Janel Keating and Bill Ferriter throughout the school year
Negotiated 16 hours of paid collaboration time for teachers in and 26 hours for
Sent nearly 400 administrators and teachers to PLCs at Work conferences
Formed collaborative teams at all sites
Distributed Learning by Doing book to all certificated staff
Created PLC webpage with staff resources
