Need At PI Meeting, PIs recognize a common interest and want to build an on-going interaction ultimately leading to joint activities After PI Meeting, they struggle to find the time and means to build the interaction, and it eventually is forgotten NSF grant to explore a community-building model for ongoing, virtual, collaborative efforts among DUE PIs Facilitated, structured approach to encourage and help build these collaborations PI Forum

Special interest in collaborations dealing with institutional transformaiton, student learning, learning technologies and context and broadening participation, Examples: PIs working with a common instructional approach or area Share and develop evaluation approaches and data Form a group dissemination effort Create a shared, interactive repository PIs working with underrepresented students Explore impact on a broader scale Types of PI Forums

Project Leaders Responsibilities
AAAS and LSU will Host six to eight* virtual meetings for each PI Forum State-of-the-art Internet conferencing software Provide guidance and training on use of software Provide list of meeting attendees and list of awardees in appropriate NSF Programs with addresses *you don’t have to stop there!
