Background The Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) course can be completed at M (L7) and H (L6) level. Both routes provide Qualified Teacher Status. The course is available with 60 Masters level credits (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) in Semester 2. A Professional Graduate Certificate in Education is available for those following the non-Masters route.

Aim: Increase the number of PGCE students completing at M level.
What we did? Aim: Increase the number of PGCE students completing at M level. Changed assignment 3 to a presentation with a synopsis Introduced a research day – methodology, epistemology, ethics etc… Filmed videos for the student teachers to access online to help students complete their research projects Video that sums up the changes to the PGCE programme
