2 Which part of you… Contains the smallest bones in your body?
Never stops working, even when you are asleep? Can sense changes in air pressure? Can be permanently damaged by 7 minutes of loud noises or music?

3 Yes, it’s…your ears!

4 Changes in air pressure cause the ear drum to vibrate.

5 This makes the bones (ossicles) move.

6 The cochlea changes these movements into electrical signals
…and sends them to your brain.

7 Your brain filters the sounds.
It can tell where a sound is coming from based on tiny differences in timing. Your brain works out what sounds MEAN.
