7 As the Families Arrive While we are waiting for all the families to arrive, take a few minutes and make a bracelet to remind you of what you learned from last session. This isn’t only for kids, parents can make a bracelet too! You should welcome the families as they arrive. You may want to pass out name tags, bring attendance sheets, and have a starting activity. You can have them write their favorite teaching from last session, and you can ask them to make a bracelet to remind them of using trust in our lives. You may want to invite an Elder to attend the program. If you have an Elder attend, make sure you greet the Elder in an appropriate manner. The Elder can start the program with a prayer.

8 Welcome Thank you for spending your time with us. This is the last session before our celebration feast. We have really enjoyed spending time with you all over the last 12 sessions and your participation is appreciated. You should thank the families for attending and address any questions they may have. Ask if anyone thought more about the trust-building and trust-destroying actions that were discussed in the Trust Walk activity.     5 Minutes

9 Meal If you choose to serve a meal, you may ask the Elder for a blessing of the food. You may want to interact with families during the meal, sitting and talking to different families throughout the course of the meal. 30 Minutes

10 Community Empowerment Discussion
This session we will focus on the idea of community empowerment and possible ways in which families can use the skills they have learned to help not only their family, but their entire community. You should introduce the topic: building social support at the community level through community empowerment. Lead the group in a brief discussion of what community empowerment is. 15 Minutes

11 Parent & Youth Breakout Sessions
This would be a good time to have the families break up into parents and youth for their respective activities. 20 minutes

12 Youth Ideal Community Drawing
For the youth, you may direct the youth to page 57 in their booklets labeled “My Ideal Community”. Distribute markers and crayons and announce that they should make a drawing of what they want their ideal community to look like. 20 Minutes

13 Parent Promoting Positive Change
For parents, you may explain that the parents will begin thinking and talking about ways to promote positive change in our community. Lead a discussion on aspects of community empowerment.    You should direct the parents to page 56 of their booklets labeled “Community Strengths.” After everyone has finished, ask the participants to share some of their ideas with the large group. Feel free to share some of your own ideas. Direct parents to page 57 of their booklets labeled “Community Empowerment.” You should allow time for the parents to complete the worksheet. After everyone has finished, ask participants to share some of their ideas with the group. 20 Minutes

14 Group Gathering 5 Minutes
Gather your families back together for the next activity. 5 Minutes

15 Scrapbooking The session activity reflects on our past weeks together. I would encourage you to organize your scrapbook by sessions of the program. You may want to discuss, when putting photos and other items from the program into your scrapbooks, what you learned over the course of the program. Announce that is time for the families to create a scrapbook using materials from throughout the program. Hand out albums and distribute the developed photographs to each family. Put glue, markers, crayons, and other scrapbooking supplies on the tables. Collect the finished albums for presentation next session at the celebration feast. 60 Minutes

16 Announcements and Reminders
Be sure to thank the families for their participation. 5 Minutes

17 Closing We appreciate your participation. This program wouldn’t be possible without you! Our Next Section: Celebration Feast Closing prayer If there is time, ask the Elder to give a short talk on the importance of today’s session and deliver a closing prayer. 5 Minutes
