VS. By Yoojin Son, Jamie Rhee, Annie Na, and Alissa Kang
2
Can teenagers overcome the violence of the conflicts of its negative effects?
Yes, because they have already experienced/seen the conflicts between the two countries. They also might think positively and think their society is going to get better than it is now. Third, they know that people are working on the conflicts between the two. Fourth, the teenagers might know that both the two countries did something wrong to each other. Finally, the new president might make a change or new educational program for the teenagers to overcome the violence of the conflicts of its negative effects.

Already experienced/seen the conflicts between the two countries.
There were a lot of wars between the two countries already. In the book Habibi, Liyana’s grandmother, Sitti, gets violated from the soldiers because they were looking for someone. In Naomi’s letter, it said that the people wanted peace, which means that there were a lot of violence already and they wanted to stop it.

People might think positively and think their society is going to get better than it is now.
In Naomi’s letter, she said that she believes that the future president will help organizing the climax between the two countries. Liyana’s dad thought positively and said that soon they would be friends and not fight anymore. Omer also thought positively and he had faith in his country.
5
They know that people are working on the conflicts between the two.
In Habibi, Sitti and her family believes that peace will come. From the book, Omer didn’t really talk about the conflicts between the two countries, and so it’s because probably he knows that the people outside are working on the conflicts. In the letter, it said that Naomi’s dad died while wanting to make the two countries get a better relationship, so the citizens should know that people like Naomi’s dad are working on the conflict.
6
The teenagers know that both the two countries did something wrong to each other.
The Israel and the Palestine armies always bomb each other and try to hurt each other. In the book, the soldiers thought that Khaled bombed a place, so they attacked him. Just like that, some of the teens know that people bombed the place. In the letter that Naomi wrote, it said that the both countries can’t blame each other because they both did a wrong thing to both countries.
7
Obama said he would change the future into a better one.
The new president will make a change or new educational program for the teenagers to overcome the violence of the conflicts of its negative effects. In Naomi’s letter, Naomi said that she wanted the future president to make peace. Obama said he would change the future into a better one. In the letter, Naomi said that the present president is useless, but hopefully, the next president will help the citizens.

How can one person make a change??
Naomi made a great change by writing a story of unfairness and writing a message to the people to who read the book Habibi. She tells us that both the two countries has blames to take. Naomi’s letter and her voice made people who read her letter think about how Israelis and Palestinian stop fighting. Although this fight has started because of the religion but being a different region doesn't make a human to an animal or a different person.

How can one person make a change??
Liyana also made a change in the book Habibi by being friend with a Jew which normal Arabs wouldn’t do. Liyana strongly disagreed how people fought with each other because of the religion. Liyana even kissed a friend that she wasn't supposed to do.
10
Conclusion~ Our group’s final answer is that the teenagers would be able to overcome the violence between the two countries because they have already seen too much violence and get used to it.
