The Rocky Mountain Power Home Energy Savings program: Encourages customers to purchase, install and operate energy efficient equipment Helps customers save energy, save money and improve comfort Reduces the growing demand for power in this region

5 Qualifying Customers To qualify for the Rocky Mountain Power Home Energy Savings Program, customers must: Reside in the state of Wyoming and purchase electricity from Rocky Mountain Power on residential rate schedules 1, 2, 3 or 25 Landlords who own rental properties where the tenant is billed on residential rate schedules 1, 2, 3 or 25 also qualify Purchase and install their equipment or have services completed within the approved program year

6 Contractors: Participating vs. Qualified
“Participating” contractors must agree to the Rocky Mountain Power terms for participation in the HVAC program including a quality control process “Qualified” contractors in addition to agreeing to the Rocky Mountain Power terms for participation in the HVAC program including a quality control process have been trained to provide installation and service measures to program specifications for duct sealing and central air conditioning tune ups.

Keys to success Trade allies such as retailers and manufacturers Industry participants and allies such as contractors, builders and real estate agents, and other utility stakeholders Marketing opportunities Co-branded leave behind materials promoting energy efficiency programs Co-branded events and presentations, sponsorships of community events and educational opportunities Robust marketing support to identify and evaluate opportunities, materials, market place and effectiveness Marketing efforts and materials will specifically address Wyoming consumers Co-branded educational opportunities (example: Energy Week in schools – topics covering recycling, purchasing ENERGY STAR® appliances, turning off lights, computers, unplugging cell phone chargers, and so on.)

MEASURE INCENTIVE* QUALIFICATIONS Insulation (wall – Existing home ) $.35/sq. ft. Existing homes only. Home must have electric heat or central a/c (must cool 80% of home) Pre-existing condition less than R-11. Install R-11 or fill cavity. Insulation may be installed by the customer or contractor. Self-installers are eligible for incentives on materials only Work may be inspected. Insulation (floor & ceiling – Existing home) Pre-existing condition less than R-19. Install R-19 or fill cavity. * Incentive amounts are subject to tariff approval.

MEASURE INCENTIVE* QUALIFICATIONS Insulation (wall – New homes) $.15/sq. ft. New homes must have insulation levels that exceed levels required by IECC 2003 by at least R5. Insulation may be installed by the customer or contractor. Self-installers are eligible for incentives on materials only Work may be inspected. Insulation (floor & ceiling – New homes) New homes must have insulation levels that exceed levels required by IECC 2003 by at least R10. Windows $1.00/sq. ft. U factor of 0.35 or lower and SHGC of .33 or less Existing homes only. Home must have electric heat or central a/c (must cool 80% of home) May be installed by the customer or contractor. Self-installers are eligible for incentives on materials only * Incentive amounts are subject to tariff approval.

13 Heating and Cooling Incentives Overview
Incentives for heating and cooling equipment tune-ups and correctly installed improvements provide the largest possible energy savings to Wyoming customers, including: Air Conditioning Tune-up (commissioning) Duct Sealing Heat Pump Upgrade/Conversion CAC equipment, sizing and installation

MEASURE INCENTIVE* QUALIFICATIONS Air Conditioning Tune-up (commissioning) $100 Existing homes only. Work must be performed by a program qualified contractor. Work may be inspected. Duct Sealing $150 Ducts must be in an unconditioned space. Home must have an electric heating system or ducted unitary cooling equipment serving 80 percent of the floor area (central a/c or heat pump). Existing homes only, newly constructed homes do not qualify because they are already meeting duct sealing requirements in current building code. Remodeling projects may not qualify if the upgrade requires a building permit. Unheated spaces, such as a garage, do not qualify for incentives Work must be performed by a program qualified contractor, self installations do not qualify. * Incentive amounts are subject to tariff approval.

15 Heating and Cooling Summary (continued)
MEASURE INCENTIVE* QUALIFICATIONS Heat Pump Upgrade/Conversion $100 Upgrade existing heat pump to 8.2 HSPF, or replace baseboard heating or electric furnace with an 8.2 HSPF heat pump. Existing homes only. Work must be performed by a program qualified contractor. Work may be inspected. CAC (Equipment, Sizing, Installation) Up to $350 New equipment must be a minimum SEER 15. Equipment requirements for sizing and installation are minimum 13 SEER with a TXV. Work must be performed by a program qualified contractor, self installations do not qualify. * Incentive amounts are subject to tariff approval.
