Understand how MS Office Live Workspace can help you collaborate online. Know how to set up your own Office Live workspace, add documents to it, and invite people to participate in it with you. Be able to download the Office Live add-in to make it easier to save files directly from Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Have ideas for using OLW as a collaboration and project management tool to manage tasks, calendars and documents.

7 What is Office Live Workspace?
An online extension of Microsoft Office -- enabling you to access your documents from anywhere and to share your work with others. It’s easy to use, and it’s free.

8 Anywhere Access Problem: “I have to remember to documents to myself or put them on a flash drive so that I can work in different places.” Solution: With Office Live Workspace you no longer need flash drives or to documents to yourself or collaborators Access and view your Microsoft Office files from almost any computer with a Web browser, whether or not it has Office installed Save thousands of Microsoft Office documents in one place (up to 5GB of storage) Organize your files, lists, and notes by project or assignment Create lists (task list, guest list, wish list, etc.) Write notes and access them from almost any computer

With Microsoft Office Live Workspace, everyone can make their changes directly in one online copy of the document. You control who can view, comment on or edit your documents You manage permissions and decide whether someone has access to a single document or an entire workspace You can share with people who can’t access your corporate network Your files have advanced virus protection from Microsoft Forefront Client Security technology, and they can only be accessed with a Windows Live ID and password

Microsoft Office Live Workspace works seamlessly with the programs you already know and use – like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
