What is “evidence” ?? Evidence is all the data that supports your claim* Evidence must be sufficient (enough) and relevant to your claim Not all data is evidence! (Example?) Data must be from a reliable source Important to have MORE THAN ONE piece of evidence! (Why?) Makes your argument stronger!

Make a claim, provide a fact (evidence)… that’s it? REASONING Explanation that connects your claim to the evidence* Shows that you have an understanding of the relationship between the evidence and your claim
