2 The origin of Prague The foundation of Prague is connected with a Legend of Libuše Her husband was prince Přemysl She was a Slavic princess and she had a vision: "I see a great city whose glory will touch the stars."

The Prague Castle was founded around 880 by prince Bořivoj of the Premyslid dynasty Rotunda of St. Vitus was constructed during 10th century Since 995 Prague was seat of the Premyslid dynasty (Prague castle)

The seat of monarch was moved to Vienna Rudolf II. Prague was the seat of the king again the centre of science and alchemy many important people like Tycho de Barhe and Johanes Kepler stayed in Prague
