1 Cypress Ranch Key Club

2 The Key Club Pledge I pledge, on my honor, to uphold the objects of Key Club International; to build my home, school and community; to serve my nation and God; and combat all forces which tend to undermine these institutions.

3 Attention All Key Clubbers!
If you did not sign up last semester but want to this semester meet the semester requirements YOU NEED TO REGISTER/RE-REGISTER THIS SEMESTER

4 Have YOU signed up? Go to cyranchkey.com then to the Registration tab. Fill out your information; it will take less than 5 minutes! Go to the Important Forms tab, print the two page CFISD Parent Permission Slip, and fill it out! Bring your permission slip with your $30 dues to Ms. Garcia’s in Room 3006!

5 JANUARY 20TH The deadline is…
Remember you are not officially a member until you have completed all three steps (online registration, parent permission slip, and $30 dues!)! Bring them to Ms. Garcia’s room 3006 any morning before class and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons

7 The Presidential Volunteer Service Award!
Do you have volunteer hours outside of Key Club? You should work towards… The Presidential Volunteer Service Award! Go to presidentialserviceawards.org and make an account and track your hours throughout the entire calendar year! You can include your Key Club hours as well as any outside hours. 50% of your total needed hours should be earned OUTSIDE of our Key Club sign-ups!

8 DEADLINE EXTENDED TO NEXT MONDAY JANUARY 9TH

9 DCON DCON 2017 will immerse you in the magical world of Harry Potter, where you will embark on a weekend of exciting adventure. Comprised of countless spellbound activities, the Welcoming Activity serves as the grand introduction! DCON will not only allow you to interact with other Key Club members around the district, but you will receive officer training, enjoy thrilling competitions and award presentations, and have an amazing time being immersed into the theme. From competing in house challenges with the help of other Key Club members to learning what it takes to be a rising wizard, join us as we embrace the wizarding world of service!

10 DCON Meeting Our DCON informational meeting will be held in the LGI from 7-8pm on Thursday, Jan 19th Anyone who is interested in going to DCON must attend. We will give more details about the whole experience, cost, stay, etc. You do NOT have to go to DCON to participate in the contests!

12 Want to be an Officer for 2016-2017?
Come to an informational meeting on Thursday, January 19th, from 6-7pm (BEFORE THE DCON MEETING) to learn more about the positions, responsibilities, application, interview process, and more!

13 Scrapbook Committee WE NEED PICTURES!!!
Come join key club's scrapbook committee. We meet every Tuesday from 2:30 to 3:30. We gather photos from events and socials from the key club members and compile them in a handmade scrapbook that will compete with others in the Texas-Oklahoma district convention. Even if you don't join the scrapbook committee, you can help make the scrapbook possible and earn donation hours by sending in your school appropriate photos of service projects or socials to WE NEED PICTURES!!!

14 Book Drive for Cy-Fair Helping Hands
When? January 4th- January 18th What? 5 books = 1 donation hour Must be new or gently used Must be child/teen FUN literature Where? Ms. Vanmiddendorp’s Room AFTER SCHOOL Why? Cy-Fair Helping Hands allows child clients pick out a book to take with them when they drop by the pantry

15 You joined Key Club… now what?
You need… service hours (10 of which much be physical) 2. 2 social credits 3. Have missed 2 or less meetings throughout the semester ( 1st and 3rd Wed. either 6:35 or 2:40) Your hours/social credits start over every semester! *If you didn’t meet these requirements, you are considered an inactive member and the semester will not count for you.

16 How do I get my hours? Make an account on the website! Under “Find A Sign Up” Search: Use this website throughout the year in order to sign up for volunteer opportunities! Also, constantly be checking your , FB page, our website and Remind101 for alerts on new events!

17 BRING YOUR SERVICE CARDS!
If you do not have your service card with you at the meeting YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE CREDIT FOR YOUR ATTENDANCE! The little dates on the back are to be stamped by our officers  If you need your service card signed for an event or social you volunteered at/attended, fill out the date, event name, number of hours, etc. and THEN the president, vps, or supervisors will sign it for you!

Need donation hours? Walmart Gift Cards! Every $5 = 1 donation hour We are always needing to make purchases for the Club! Bring in some Walmart giftcards! Coke Tabs! 1 FULL Ziploc bag = 1 donation hour

IF YOU’RE VOLUNTEERING AND TAKE PICTURES, YOU WILL RECEIVE AN EXTRA PHYSICAL HOUR! TO EARN THE EXTRA HOUR, YOU MUST TAKE A MINIMUM OF 10 QUALITY PICTURES! Yuda Bands (Starts Next Meeting) Senior Stoles (In February) Bottle Flip Contest for Thirst Project (Bring $2 to participate NEXT MEETING and hopefully get a donation hour!) Pizza Party for LLS/UNICEF participants directly after the afternoon meeting on the 18th (next meeting)
