Our Role Own, maintain, and apply the Global Training Specification where training is procured to support new equipment & technology. Act as training SME for Global Launch Process (Element C1) and Powertrain Launch Process. Work with Manufacturing Engineering to document new equipment & technology scheduled to impact a plant. Draft a Technical Training Requirements Plan (TTRP) accordingly. Review training deliverables with plant & program leadership to ensure support going forward. Work with PLOM and PD to staff the Launch Training Coordinator role. Conduct supplier reviews to ensure appropriate training content at a competitive cost. Maintain a Supplier Training Scorecard to enable plant input regarding supplier performance. Train and Support Launch Training Coordinator to develop and implement the training plan following standardized work / Global Launch Process. Elements include: Validate the TTRP with ME, Plant Operations, and OEM input. Co-develop & utilize Master Dot to track implementation and escalate issues. Utilize tools & resources to produce common outputs/metrics. Share best practices and facilitate networking between plants/programs.

Launch Training Process Deliverables
Technical Training Requirements Plan (TTRP) A comprehensive listing of all new technology and equipment that is scheduled to impact a plant. Includes ME and Supplier contacts and approximate timing of equipment installations (run-off to production integration). Is the foundation of launch training plan development Launch Training Coordinator Development A flexibility chart for identifying skill & knowledge gaps in a new Launch Training Leader. Allows a targeted approach to training that focuses on need. Ensures adequate skills to perform all tasks within the Launch Training Process. Training Master Dot Aligned to the Launch Wall Process, Master Dot is the identification of all critical activities and deliverables required to develop and implement the training plan. Supplier Training Reviews Structured discussions with Training Suppliers to determine training content, timing, target audience, and cost. Curriculum Matrix A visual management resource that aligns required training courses with intended target audience. Color coding indicates required, scheduled, and completed training for each employee. The curriculum matrix calculates the number of iterations along with cost for each course in the training plan. Launch Training Schedule Timing of training delivery comprehending all classes in the plan based on project milestones. Scheduling has become challenging due to limited resource available to backfill for those attending training. These organizational constraints require more attention and better resources to establish an attainable training schedule.
