WHAT WE DO? We meet to discuss to how we can make sure children are safe in school. We meet separately from the school council as we think safety is very important. We look at the following areas- Internet Safety Site safety Anti- bullying Keeping children safe outside of school- Fire Safety, Road Safety and Water Safety

INTERNET SAFETY We checked school to make sure all classrooms have posters to help children be safe online. We know all children have learned the S.M.A.R.T. method of staying safe online. S- Safe M- Meet A- Accepting R- Reliable T- Tell We led a E-Safety assembly on National E-Safety Day. We have asked for all pupils to have their own passwords, and now this has been done.

SITE SAFETY We did a learning walk and we noticed all these things about our school site that keep us all safe- Thumb prints and codes for the door that only adults who work in school know. Fire door/ posters/ exit signs. Fire drills. We are taught to get out and put away equipment safely. There are fences are all around our school, and, in the day, the gates are locked.

ANTI-BULLYING Being kind is included in all class rules/class contract. Assemblies on anti-bullying- sometimes school and sometimes PCSOs. We learn about cyber bullying as well as other types. Children are very good at looking after each other by reporting any problems to adults. The younger children have buddies in Class 4 who are always available to talk to them. If there are problems we always try to talk them over and try to make things better.
