5.0:1 for Contractors
Near Miss: any form of incident that almost caused an adverse incident to people, property, environment or machine.
Hazard: Any source of “potential” damage, harm or adverse health effect under certain conditions at work. Basically a hazard is something with the potential to cause injury or damage.
