2 Our Behaviour Policy We have been talking to our classes about the Behaviour Traffic Light system We think there should be some changes made

5 Yellow Behaviours Chatting at the wrong time Slamming doors
Running in corridors Snatching Hurting people’s feelings Lying Forgetting P.E. kit Interrupting Not being fair in playground games Not listening Screaming at people Silly language Negative Attitude Being somewhere you shouldn’t

6 We want to change some Yellow Behaviours
Forgetting PE kit – little ones should not have to be responsible for this. We have changed the wording and put it onto Green We want to add in; Hurting living things – including trees, plants and creatures like daddy long legs Missing Prefect duty Chewing with your mouth open and spitting Playing outside Mrs Tansley’s office window

Orange Behaviours Fighting Hitting Kicking Pushing Name calling Throwing equipment Opening Gates Walking away when adults are speaking to you Answering back Refusing to do what you have been asked Repeating Yellow Behaviours

8 We want to move some Orange Behaviours
We think these behaviours should move to the Red Traffic Light Kicking Opening Gates We also want to add this behaviour Lying – up from Yellow, being honest is very important to us

Red Behaviours Aggressive Fighting Swearing Biting Punching Racism Breaking equipment Vandalism Hurting people around the neck Bullying Shouting at adults Stealing Repeating Yellow and/or Orange Behaviours

10 Staying Safe To make sure we are safe in school we want to add to the Red Light Opening the gates (moved this from Orange) Leaving the school playground in the morning (even if you have left something at home or want to meet your friends) Being somewhere you shouldn’t – lunchtime/playtimes (moved this from Yellow because adults need to know where we are)
