1. Open book inside Front Cover. Touch Start Arrow. 2. Listen. Then select ‘English’ 3. Touch any corner of any page and listen. All text is spoken in English 4. Go to inside Front Cover. Touch the ‘language’ box 5. New language on Pen is selected. 6. Touch any corner on any page and now listen in new language 7. If there are more languages of the same story, then follow this sequence: touch ‘start’ arrow, then Language box: First language. Repeat, arrow/language and the second language is selected. Flip between English, first Language, second language, English. 5

Register and login
Search by title or language
Double click on files you want. You can download 5 files at a time.

Sticker up any book, eg ‘Gruffalo’ or ‘Earth Tales’ with stickers from the SAME set, say SET F
Take any of our ‘Start Arrows’. You get 4 free with PENpal. Eg ‘Start Arrow’ number 3
In ‘red light mode’ record on every sticker, either text or comments or questions…..
Still in ‘red light’ narrate the title on the Start Arrow number 3
Usually if a story teller visits, ask them to record. You can have different story tellers for the same book, or different languages. All you need are different Start Arrows, eg 2 but you DO NOT have to add any more stickers.
Now you are ready to listen to recordings in ‘blue light mode’

Double click and the CreateLINK form appears
Enter the name of the project Gruffalo told by ….
Select the profile. This is the Set Number you used eg F
Enter the Start Arrow Number eg 3
Connect PENpal with USB cable and click “scan pen”. It will automatically bring up your recording made on Start Arrow 3. This confirms for you that when PENpal touches the Start Arrow that you had stuck onto the book, it will say “Gruffalo told by…”
Now click Create Project.

Red Arrow: summarises all the settings
Click the Magnifying glass and CreateLINK finds all the recordings on labels in Set F…204 to 224.
You can save the project to amend later on. Otherwise ‘Continue’
A confirmation screen appears. Just press ‘Complete’
CreateLINK compiles all the recordings as one .AP4 file called Gruffalo and you can listen in blue light mode.
If you want to hear in another language, stick another Start Arrow and go through the same process, SET F 204 to 224.
If there is a wrong sound file, highlight it and click ‘X’

First take a photo of all the children in class along with a group photo. Store them in a folder in your computer
Now you are ready to make a talking poster in 5 minutes!
Click on YOUcreate in the home page of our website: uk.mantralingua.com
You can download the programme but we prefer to use the webapp which has ready made templates.
Upload all the photos on the left hand side and drag and drop them into place. You do not have to be accurate, the programme automatically centres each
When finished, preview and order. This poster costs about £7.00
Receive in 10 days. The poster will have its ‘Start Arrow’ number and use CreateLINK to listen to children in ‘blue light’ mode 13

16. Pupil Admissions App
A dual language questionnaire, where the questions are as text with audio in the home language. As the parent listens in their home language and answers a question, their answers are mirrored in English.
After completing the questionnaire, a dual language report can be printed out or ed.
