Objectives Guiding Question What is a time signature?
How does is affect the performance of rhythms? How are time signatures similar to fractions? Eagle Expectations Students will draw barlines based on different time signatures. Students will continue to practice reading rhythms for stick drumming.

Popsicle Stick Compositions
Work with a partner to create a composition that uses quarter notes and eighth notes. Each composition will be in 4/4 time and a minimum of two measures long. - Refer to the class example for assistance.
