MSTEP and EOY Assessment
The End of Year Assessment proficiency rates did decrease as we went up in grade level. Factors could include An increased need for backfilling before covering the core content. An increased need for deep conceptual knowledge by teachers. Teachers getting through less content in the year. The EOY assessment results did match up quite well to the MSTEP results. Grade Average Percent Proficient in EOY Average Percent Proficient on MSTEP 3rd 72% 57% 4th 52% 54% 5th 36%

Paraphrased Quotes from Teachers and Parents
“I feel so much more confident with Go Math in my second year. I just gave the chapter 1 test and all of my students passed except 1” -Kindergarten teacher in Mason “I am surprised by what my students already know coming into 6th grade math. They are not afraid of the higher DOK problems and want to dig into them” -6th grade teacher in Williamston (K-5 adopted Go Math last year)

Paraphrased Quotes from Teachers and Parents
“Last year my student struggled with 3rd grade math. She just took her first 4th grade test online and received a 95%” -Mason Parent “I gave my kindergarteners the mid-chapter checkpoint online and all of them were able to log-in and complete the test with me modeling. Most of my students passed the test with at least a 70%” -Kindergarten teacher in Waverly (year 1)
