What resources are available in Discovery Education?
Snowball Fight What resources are available in Discovery Education? Presenter Notes Standard: 4 minutes Distribute pieces of scrap or recycled paper. Ask participants to write a response to the prompt. Have participants crumple paper and throw it into the air. Participants should pick up a snowball and respond or elaborate on the idea in writing. Repeat one more time, then have participants voluntarily share the ideas captured on their paper. Participants could identify resources such as videos, images, audio files, etc., but many may not know about the collection of strategies and ideas for integrating these digital resources in their instruction.

Six Word Story Tell their story in six words. Presenter Notes
Six Word Story is a teaching strategy that allows students to practice summarizing and selective word choice. Students use an image or an article as the basis for a story that conveys a big idea using only six words. Standard: 3 minutes Instruct participants to carefully look at the image Give participants about one minute to write the story of this image, using only six words At the end of time, ask participants to share their stories

Did You Hear That? Students listen to 2-3 audio files and develop a story that expresses how they visualize the sounds relating to each other. What’s the first line of your story? Presenter Notes Did You Hear That? encourages students to draw conclusions and create and describe mental images. Students listen to two sound clips and develop a story that expresses how they visualize the sounds relating to each other.
