Animal Adaptations Project
This is an individual research project due on April 2nd;it will be presented in class. You will have two in class days to work on your project; the rest will need to be completed at home. During class you will have access to computers/ipad to gather your information/research. You will be gathering information on your favorite animal: structural adaptations, behavioral, biome, and interesting facts. The information must be typed in your own words and not copied straight from a site, include the information requested from the provided rubric. You will be required to show work at the end of each class period that is used to work on the project. This project will count as a test grade, please present the rubric when turning in the project.

Animal Adaptations Project (Test Grade) Due April 2nd
Item/Description Possible Points Earned Points Comments 3D Animal: Your favorite animal constructed from everyday items (does not bring a stuffed animal or already premade organism). 30pts. Typed Information (no bigger than 12pt. font) Structural Adaptations: Name four structural adaptations (internal or external) and explain how the each structure helps the animal to survive. 16pts (4pts. ea.) Behavioral Adaptations: Name three types of behavioral adaptations and explain how each helps the animal survive. 12pts. (4pts. ea.) Biome: Name the Biome and give two abiotic and biotic factors that this animal depends on in its environment in order to survive. 16pts. (4pts. ea.) Interesting Facts: Give two new quantitative and two new qualitative facts that are specific to your animal; cannot be apart of the same information above. Above and Beyond: Extra details, information, creativity, etc. You must explain (in the comments section) what you did to earn your above and beyond points and they must be outside of the normal expected points from above. 10pts. Total Points 100pts.
