2 Background Al-Hokair Group name is linked with entertainment, and vacations. It has built an increasing growth in their business activities. The Group’s portfolio of interests includes more than 70 amusement and theme parks, a number of international restaurant franchises as well as the largest chain of hotels and recreational cities in the Middle East. 11/21/12

3 NOVOTEL Business Park   AlHokair group is the owner of Novotel Business park which is: -A new and fascinating commercial building which possesses highly accurate details modern buildings enjoy. -Novotel Business Park is not only a complex, but is also an integrated business and administrative centre. 11/21/12

4 NOVOTEL Business Park Advantages:
-The business park is run by a specialized team in managing and marketing the real estate. -The business park's administration is concerned with preserving society's values and fulfilling the tenants wishes and satisfaction. -Novotel Business Park is an integrated center of four attached towers built horizontally, occupying an area of 32,000 m². Each tower has five floors, which is about 7,000 m² of space and a leasing offices area. 11/21/12

7 Internship Activities
I was given the task to prepare the newsletter of the hotel. Building web-page for the company. Attending meetings for different companies. Develop and execute marketing. Manage, monitor, and evaluation of monthly management files. Meeting customers. 11/21/12

8 Accomplishments Monthly newsletter.
Produced a thorough report on the social activity; including practices approach for managing social activity. Social networking achievements. Consulting or freelance projects. Events attended. 11/21/12

9 Lessons Learned Better understanding of the dynamics of pulling data and making decisions based on data sets. Hourly-based job taught me to work on time. Managing files. As clear as this, no business can go through without a good revenue stream or business plan. 11/21/12

10 What Was Useful Moving Forward
Goals and expectations. A clear plan should be put in place beforehand. Taking full command. Taking responsibility. 11/21/12

13 In the Incomes section:
We have been trained to use the Opera System by our trainer who is an Income Auditor. We learned how to check a lot of financial and accounting reports in Opera system such as: The daily refund paid out reports for Novitel hotel. The daily rebates and allowances reports The daily laundry and minibar income and revenue reports for the hotel. 11/21/12

14 In the Receivables section:
Our trainer, who is a Credit Manager, taught us how to use the Sun System, and how important it is for all of the receivable reports such as: The daily control sheet for cash receipt form front office desk and bill collectors. The monthly summary reports. 11/21/12

15 In the Payables section:
Our trainer taught us exactly how to make a financial schedule in Excel sheet. And how to write a formula to sum and calculate the numbers. He helped us to fill out the daily corrections and cancelations reports. He showed us briefly how to fill out the daily control sheet for all vouchers such as refund, outlet checks, allowance, paid out and adjustment. 11/21/12

16 In the Payroll section:
Our trainer, who is a General Cashier, trained us to use the Oasys system and how to use it for: Calculating the salary for each employee Attendance, vacations and other details about the employees. Deductions and absences. 11/21/12
