2 Being a Buddy - Expectations
Introduce students to the university and the ways of student life. non educational, general introduction Introduce new international Students to Rotterdam and The Netherlands Encourage new international students to get to know each other. and Dutch students Participate in different activities with your buddy group during the first few weeks of the semester. roughly 10 week period Help students with all issues they might encounter at the beginning of their stay in Rotterdam.

Drop off at Woudestein campus, Erasmus Medical Centre, The Student Hotel, StayOkay or accommodation rented through SSH. Key service for SHH accommodation Family and friends?

2 February 2017 Registration at City Hall Students that stay in The Netherlands longer than 4 months Students that need a BSN-number (job, bank account) Open a Dutch Bank account Students that want a job in The Netherlands Refund of immigration deposit Scholarships issued by a Dutch institution Health Insurance – AON (buy or check) Mandatory insurance for medical care Liability insurance Additional services Housing Anywhere, free legal advise, (Dutch) language, ESN.

Students from non-European countries Always refer to the above mentioned website. Or advise your student to send an to; Residence can be picked-up from IND Front Office in Rotterdam (not from IO EUR or ESSC) Conradstraat 28, 3013 AP ROTTERDAM Mon/Tue/Weds/Fri: hrs. Thursdays hrs Free of charge Passport! Maybe IND will be present at one-stop-shop. Buddies will be informed.
