1. Concentration Keep to a routine, study schedule – plan your day carefully and set time aside to work regularly each day. Focus on something definite to do. Study in a quiet environment. (Private studies) Ask yourself questions about the material as you study/read and try to understand what you read.

Sit away from disruptive classmates and windows Before lectures:
Study for minutes, break for 10 minutes. Sit away from disruptive classmates and windows Before lectures: - look over the notes of the previous lecture see the relationship with the current lecture -read the course material related to the lecture.

2. Realistic goals Set achievable goals. Short term/long term goals
Define your goals clearly – know what you want and why you want it. Try not to study everything at once -
6
Do not waste time on subjects that you are good at.
Spend time on what you do not understand/ know. Do not pile up everything for the exam week. Memorizing and cramming is not a good idea…understanding is.

3. Continuity Keep up-to-date with your lectures/ tutorials and assignments. Keep a note book/ diary to remind you of important events or due dates etc. Revise/work regularly everyday. Will get more work done. Don’t wait for examination week. Last minute rush can be stressful. Don’t just give up because you failed one short test!

4. Fitness and Relaxation
Do not let your student life or work dominate your entire life – physical, health, social, spiritual. Strike a balance. Light, regular exercise makes you more able to cope with stress and life demands. Involve in sports and eat the right kind of food. Spend time with friends. Take time to pray, attend religious/church meetings

5. Study Group Join with friends to form a study group to compare notes, discuss topics and problems. Meet on a regular basis. Try to be honest and do your share of the work allocated. Do not be a free rider. Remember you also learn better when you teach others.
