Definitions: Renewable Nonrenewable
Resources that CAN be replaced or refilled by natural processes. Resources that CANNOT be replaced or refilled by natural processes.

Fossil Fuels: Nonrenewable
Resources created from the remains of once-living organisms from hundreds of millions of years ago.

Amount: Renewable Nonrenewable
Theoretically, there is an “unlimited” amount of these resources There is a limited amount of nonrenewable resources - once used up, are forever gone.

IMPORTANT! Renewable Renewable resources can become nonrenewable resources if they are used up faster than they can be replaced.
