Natural materials and resources
2
Natural resources: Natural resources are the elements of nature that we can use to satisfy our needs and to assure our subsistence and well-being. Renewable resources: They are those that can be regenerated after use, like water, soil or the energy of the solar radiation.
3
Nonrenewable resources They are those which once consumed, cannot be regenerated again. As the oil, the gas or the coal. Inexhaustible resources Those who are used in very small quantities in relation to the quantity that exists in nature, like solar radiation and the air.
4
Abiotic factors / Resources They are those which are formed by inorganic matter, like air, soil, etc. Biotic factors / Resources These are the genetic resources, the organisms or part of them, the populations or any other type of the organic component of the ecosystems of value or real or potential utility for humanity.
5
Energy resources They are those capable of providing energy, and they can qualify in renewable and nonrenewable. Air It is a gas miscellany that contains in suspension solid matters in the shape of dust. The photosynthesis is a process that the CO2 of the air diminishes and restores the oxygen necessary for the life. The precipitations and the vegetation eliminate dust. The air makes the life possible, it is the raw material source for the industry that extract from him (gases) to themselves and it is an energy source by means of the wind. Dust is important because it transports microorganisms, and at the same time it serves as support for the water particles suspended in the air.
6
Uses of the water. Water that is used in all the agricultural and cattle processes. Employee in diverse industrial processes. To drink, to wash and to cook food, for the hygiene, etc. The waterfalls are an effective and clean way of obtaining electric power. Use of rivers, lakes and reservoirs for the bath, the navigation and other sports practices and of free time. The wetlands and marshy areas are the habitat of many birds and other animal species.
