1. WARM UP: List some ways that YOU would clean out a dirty water source?
People in the U.S. buy more than half a billion gallons of bottled water every WEEK. That's a lot of water, a lot of plastic bottles, and a big part of our everyday lives.

2. River and Streams:
River- is natural flowing water, usually freshwater, flowing towards an another river, lake, bay, or ocean.
Source- start of the river or stream
Upstream- water close to the source
Mouth- end of the river
Downstream- water close to the mouth
Small amounts of running water:
tributary, stream, creek, rill

3. Rivers move a great deal of material
Rivers move a great deal of material. The faster the water moves, the larger material that can be carried down river.

Divide your paper in half and DRAW what you would view BELOW the water and ABOVE the water!
Include: 5 biotic parts and 5 abiotic parts
Use color and creativity

6. Fun in Rivers and Lakes
Brainstorm a list of all the cool things/ activities that you can do in rivers and lakes.
Goal: Get the longest list in class!
