Online Tutoring Basics

What is NetTutor? NetTutor is a comprehensive online tutoring service for all levels of college courses.

Who are the tutors? At least a Bachelor's degree.
Tutors are highly trained and all have: At least a Bachelor's degree. A Minimum GPA of 3.0 in the subject they are tutoring. Teaching or tutoring experience.

What services does NetTutor offer?
1 on 1 sessions with a live tutor using text chat, audio, or video along with an interactive whiteboard. A question and answer center where students may submit a question and receive an answer within 24 hours. A paper center where students can submit a paper and get feedback within 48 hours.

How do you access NetTutor?

Step 1: Log into your Canvas account

Step 2: Click the “Courses” tab in the menu and select “CR Net Tutor for EOPS”.

Step 3: Select “NetTutor” from the courses menu.

Step 4: Read and accept the license agreement
Step 4: Read and accept the license agreement. You will only need to do this once.

Step 5: From the green menu select the subject you want help with.

Step 6: Select live 1-1 help or submit a question
Step 6: Select live 1-1 help or submit a question. You can also review previous sessions.

Making the most out of your tutoring session.
Complete readings and prepare materials before meeting with a tutor. Meet with a tutor when you first experience difficulty in a course. Wait times are longer during mid terms and finals, log in early.
