Equal Rights Amendment
Nickname = ERA first proposed in (written by Alice Paul) to affirm that women and men have equal rights under the law not part of the U.S. Constitution.

ERA as Law? The ERA was passed out of Congress in and has been ratified by 35 of the necessary 38 states. When three more states vote yes, it is possible that the ERA could become the 28th Amendment.

Equality Women have historically been guaranteed fewer rights than men
Would provide a fundamental legal remedy against sex discrimination for both women and men. Equality can be achieved by raising women’s legal rights to the same level of constitutional protection as men’s if this passes…right?
