Generosity The virtue practiced by one who acts unselfishly and cheerfully for the benefit (good) of others

Genuflection A sign of reverence in which we touch our right knee to the floor in honor of the Real Presence of Our Lord in the tabernacle.

God The Supreme Being who is infinitely perfect. He is pure Spirit who created the universe out of nothing (ex nihilo). He is One God in three Persons-Father, Son and Holy Spirit

Gospel The “Good News” promised in the Old Testament and fulfilled in Christ. It contains the message of faith which Jesus revealed to us. He is the savior who has come to redeem all of God’s people. We are all redeemed, but not all are saved.

Grace The gift of God’s life within our soul-with this, He makes us sharers in the divine life Grace helps us to choose what is right and do it! There are two kinds of grace-actual and habitual (or sanctifying) grace

Guardian angels Pure spirits, the angels are God’s messengers
Each person is given a guardian angel at their conception who stays with them throughout their life and stands at their side at the time of judgment. Our guardian angel’s sole task is to help us to get to heaven. They pray for us, provide protection, and prompt us to do what is right… BUT we must ask their help! See Mt 18:10

Heaven Eternal life and happiness with God.
It is the place where those who have died in a state of grace will spend eternity.

Hell A place of eternal suffering where those who did not die in a state of grace go-forever. It is eternal suffering and damnation for those who died in mortal sin

Hero A person who is idealized or held in very high esteem for their superior qualities and deeds (actions) The saints are heroes who reside with God in heaven and exemplified heroic virtue during their lifetime Who are your heroes?

Holy Communion The bread and wine that are changed into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ during the consecration at Mass The reception of Jesus-body, blood, soul and divinity We should only receive Our Lord in Holy Communion when we are in a state of grace-that means no mortal sin on our soul

Holy Family Jesus, Mary and Joseph
We are all called to live the virtues of the holy family-each family on earth is meant to reflect their love

Holy Orders The sacrament by which Jesus give a man the grace and spiritual power to celebrate Mass, forgive sins and make others holy
